For those of you who would like to know a little bit more of what an option does, where a map came from, or just want to refresh themselves on some of the W@W info, Blue Dragon has created an Options Help thread. It is in the Introductions and Questions section of the forums.

To Quote BD,

"This thread is intended as a more detailed explanation of the various options. Here I hope to come up with clear explanations of each option in World At War. I'll put my own explanations in, and anyone can comment on the explanation and hopefully improve them until we have a pretty concise but clear explanation of each. Some, of course, will be much easier to explain than others. When complete (enough) I'll put an options-explanation page up in either the FAQ or the Beginner Info pages."

We hope this comes in handy to all the new people and those wanting to try something new but just haven't done it yet.

UPDATE: Map is working now. (There was a bug but it's been squashed)

I can't thank Hak enough. I'm sure there will be some tweaks, but without the work he already put into this map (and it must have been a blast figuring out how to work the map creator!) it would never have gotten done. And thanks to ATLDJROB for nudging me. Now, lets all attack the English!

A new map is available. Consider it in Beta though - if you're worried you might want to play a NOSCORE game with it. This is, in fact, the first map I've personally made from scratch. Just Cuz. It's based on a topographical map of Mars, but I consider the lowlands Oceans. (fortunately they're colored blue anyway!) No promises how good it will play but it does make for a fun additon to WaW!

 

After ages of requests etc, the fabled 2 player, Heads-Up style games are finally available! I've played a complete game and it seems to work as intended but not all options have been tested so consider this Extreme Beta for now. More in Forums of course.
